Making training manageable

We offer a range of learning opportunities to support your work with deaf children and young people. We understand that it is not always easy to fit training into your busy teaching schedule, and so we are happy to deliver elements of different courses to meet your needs and availability. We can also offer breakfast/ twilight sessions, full or half day training, online or in-person.

Our team of Education Advisors, who are all by experienced Qualified Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (QToDs), can offer the following training opportunities, adapted to suit your needs and available time:

  • Language assessment and target setting
  • Evaluation of listening measures: using speech tests to validate electroacoustic measurements
  • Using the PLS-5 and the CELF-5 to assess the language of deaf children and young people
  • Assessment data
  • Supporting a family: Effective conversations with families of newly diagnosed deaf babies, children and young people
