Thank you to everyone who joined our recent webinar with Rebecca Atkinson and Karen Newell, co-founders of arts and play organisation Toy Like Me. Rebecca is also the creator and Executive Producer of the pre-school animation series Mixmups (Milkshake, Channel 5). During this twilight session, Rebecca and Karen introduced two fantastic new resources for Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People.
See It Be It is a brand-new board game featuring 80 deaf role models and their weird, wonderful, and plain normal jobs. Mixmups with Ultra Access is an innovative TV service designed to adapt to the needs of deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent children.
During this free online session, Rebecca explored the history behind both projects, demonstrating how they can be used in teaching practice.
Thanks to charitable support, UK-based deaf education professionals are being offered a FREE copy of the See It Be It board game. Our partner charity Ovingdean Hall Foundation (OHF) is one of the funders of the See It Be It project. This webinar was the third in our ‘Shout About It’ series celebrating the work of OHF’s grant recipients.
If you are a deaf education professional based in the UK and would like a free copy of See It Be It, please email info@ewing-foundation.org.uk confirming your name, school/authority and your address.
Thank you to Rebecca and Karen for sharing news of these fantastic resources!
