EwingThe National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) have shared their seven priorities in response to the Government’s proposed reforms to the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) sector.
The Government’s proposals relate to how children and young people with SEND will receive support in England. In a recent campaign update, the NDCS have confirmed that they are seeking a SEND system that works for every deaf child, including children with different levels of hearing loss, communication needs and language preferences.
The NDCS have outlined seven priorities that focus on protecting specialist support, strengthening inclusion and ensuring families have access to the right education and support.
