Technical Support
Do you support a deaf learner? Do you have concerns about their hearing technology or the acoustic environment?
If so, we can help you.
Our charity has been providing audiological support for deaf children since 1952. Over the years, we have seen incredible advances in hearing technology.
We work with many schools and services. For example, over the course of a term, one of our Technology Consultants can visit 80 schools, checking and repairing equipment so that deaf students are properly supported in the classroom. Over the term, they can help up to 200 students.
We can support you by:
- delivering training in the use of specialist equipment
- maintaining and repairing audiological equipment
- advising on acoustics and the listening environment
Our support can be tailored to meet the needs of individuals or groups, and can be undertaken in collaboration with our Education Advisors.
This is important work which is much in demand and, thanks to charitable support, we are able to offer our services at a heavily subsidised rate. We want to help as many teaching professionals and deaf children as we can.
