Update from GLADE

Greater London Affiliation for Deaf Education (GLADE) is our popular networking group for staff in resource provisions across Greater London. The aim of the group is to share good practice through discussion and training, and alleviate the isolation of specialist staff by encouraging networking and peer support.

GLADE last met online on 25 May 2023 to learn about and share sector news. The event included a presentation on OFSTED and the new Education Inspection Framework (EIF), and provided a brief overview of the EIF and how it impacts resource provisions for deaf learners. We covered the key documentation to support readiness for an inspection and looked at a template for an action plan.
