Thank you to everyone who attended our first bite-size session of 2026! These free 30-minute online presentations, which fit conveniently in with you busy day, have become one of our most popular services.
On 5th February, we were delighted to be joined by Noel Kenely, Senior Auditory Verbal Therapist and London Clinical Lead at Auditory Verbal UK (AVUK). In his presentation, titled ‘Understanding the science of listening in deaf babies’, Noel explored listening potential in early infancy, how access to sound through optimal hearing technology can shape development, and what we can do to support it. Thank you Noel for getting our bite-size presentations for the year off to such a great start!
Our bite-size with AVUK was the second in our series of short talks from some of the charities supported by our grantmaking partner Ovingdean Hall Foundation (OHF). OHF has been supporting AVUK’s work in Wales, funding bursaries for professionals (such as Qualified Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People and speech and language therapists) to train in Auditory Verbal Therapy.
We look forward to welcoming more speakers from OHF’s charity partners in the spring and early summer – further details to be announced shortly.
