Wednesday 3rd March is World Hearing Day!
Led by the World Health Organisation (WHO), this global advocacy event calls for action to address hearing loss and related issues. Its aim is to raise awareness of hearing loss and promote hearing care across the world.
The theme for 2021 is ‘Hearing care for ALL! Screen. Rehabilitate. Communicate.’ WHO have released a number of key messages for policy makers and the public. These messages include that the number of people living with unaddressed hearing loss and ear diseases is unacceptable, and that timely action is needed to prevent and address hearing loss across a person’s lifetime.
World Hearing Day also marks the launch of WHO’s first World Report on Hearing. Find out more.
